Homegrown in Gaetz Brook, Nova Scotia

Nestled in the quiet lakeside community of Gaetz Brook, just outside Halifax, SVG Kennels is more than a kennel; it’s our home. We're surrounded by trees, fresh air, and the calm of a large freshwater lake, it’s the perfect place to raise happy, healthy, and well socialized XL American Bullies.

Every one of our dogs lives inside our home as our family members; not in outdoor kennels or runs. They share our daily lives, our routines, and our couches, receiving constant interaction, affection, and care. We believe dogs raised in a loving home environment develop stronger bonds, calmer temperaments, and a deeper trust in people.

We’ve built a dedicated whelping and puppy room inside our home where our litters are born and cared for around the clock. It’s a calm, temperature-controlled and air quality-controlled space designed for mothers and puppies to thrive during those first critical weeks. We’re also in the process of building an exterior puppy grow-out space; this will be a specialized area where puppies will transition once fully weaned. This new setup will include heating and air conditioning for year-round comfort and an elevated deck area for safe outdoor exploration. Even under construction, we’re proud to share the next step in our vision for a truly thoughtful, health-focused breeding environment. (Photos of the build in progress will be added soon!)
